Company

At home in Germany’s capital city, we develop security inks for the highest demands. As a city of science, Berlin is the right location for us, even after more than 170 years, to keep developing new innovative products and to offer these to our international customers as new solutions for their printed security.

About us

175 years of history

Soon after being founded in 1847 by Mr. Emil Theodor Gleitsmann the company started producing both high-quality standard printing inks and innovative security inks. In 1976 the hubergroup (headquartered in Munich) acquired 100% of the shares of Gleitsmann Security Inks GmbH. Contrary to Gleitsmann (with its focus on high security products) the hubergroup provides inks for the commercial sector to printing companies around the world. The company has been based in Berlin since 1953.

Since then, the best printers have been protecting their products with high-tech inks from Gleitsmann. The range of top-quality inks covers a wide variety of requirements.
